Why UNLOCK BLACKLISTED exists
Most people who search for help with a locked phone land on a page trying to sell them something. This one is not.
The problem we set out to solve
A phone that will not accept a SIM card, or that asks for someone else’s account, is a genuinely confusing situation. Four completely different things can produce almost identical symptoms: a carrier lock, an unpaid finance plan, an activation lock, or an IMEI blacklist entry. Each one is controlled by a different party, and each one has a different resolution.
Search for help and the results are dominated by paid “unlock services”, many of which sell a process the carrier would have carried out for free, and some of which sell nothing at all. UNLOCK BLACKLISTED exists to give a straight answer instead.
What the check actually does
It asks a few questions about the device and what is happening to it, matches that against the recognised lock types, and tells you which party holds the lock and what the official process is for having it lifted. Nothing more than that.
What we will never do
- We do not unlock phones and never claim to.
- We do not sell, link to or recommend third-party unlocking tools.
- We do not offer any way around an activation lock, a stolen-device report or a blacklist entry. Those protections exist to help the rightful owner, and we will not help defeat them.
- We do not ask for account passwords, and no legitimate service ever will.
If a device is showing an owner-level lock and you cannot reach the person you bought it from, the honest answer may be that it cannot be legitimately unlocked. We would rather tell you that than sell you a false promise.
